City of Burbank's Summer Newletter highlights Jambo (PDF article)
The inspiring story of how Rosemont Middle School students raised $20,000 for Jambo in a Jog Walk-a-Thon organized by teacher Shannon Estrada.




... This year (2005), $1,100 was raised by students at Miller alone. "Our teachers really felt that they could make a difference," Miller Principal Judy Hession said. "Every one of them wanted to participate."

Pardeeville students create picture books about Wisconsin and its seasons, to share their lives with Kenyan students, and raise funds for Jambo's Coins for Change program.

Jambo featured in L.A. Parent magazine.

"I think it's important to participate in this program so these children see that they have so much in common... they get to make the connection that kids are kids no matter where they are", Judy Hession, Principal, Joaquin Miller Elementary.

Vintage Magnate third-graders read letters and watch video from their pen pals in Africa.

Jambo was at the center of Girl Scouts "Thinking Day 2004"
